52 One crazy cat...
Roy entered the dining room only to find a rear end (upturned) wiggling under the cabinet for the telephone. It was a strange sight to say the least. Knowing how Tigger loves to play with his various toys Roy is accustomed to seeing some very interesting sights but this is more interesting than most.
"Tigger! What on earth are you doing under there?"
"What am I doing under here?
Trying to get a little ball that Aunt Kitty gave me. It got back in the corner somehow and I want to get it out and play with it." he said peering out from under the cabinet.
"Would you like for me to get it out for you?"
"No. I am perfectly capable of getting it out myself. I am quite good at doing that if you must know. I get my toys out from under and behind things all the time."
"I might add that it is you who get them under and behind things in the first place as well."
"Uh... I guess you are right about that. Anyway, here it comes. See, I can do it by myself."
"Good for you. Now I suppose you will be playing with it for a little while."
"Actually, I was sorta planning on taking a nap. I got tired getting this toy out. It was really stuck in the corner."
With that chore done Tigger retired to his
bed in the living room. There was another toy
on his bed. One of his favorite. A little stuffed bear that he has had from the start. It was his very first toy. He loves that bear even if he does attack it fiercely at times. Eventually he woke up and saw Roy watching him.... and chuckling...
"Tigger, that bear looks funny next to you. It looks like it wants to get a drink of milk from you."
"I know. It's embarrassing. Why don't you tell it that I am a boy cat. I don't have the right equipment to get milk from."
"Why don't you tell it? It's your bear you know."
"I did but it didn't listen to me. Maybe it would listen to you. I can never get it to do what I want it to do."
"I tell you what, why don't you get up and move away and I bet it will just stay there."
"Good idea. I will just move into my favorite box."
Fat lot of good that did. The other bear was waiting for him in the box. He loves those bears and apparently they love him as well.
"Oh well... I guess you will just have to accept your bears. They really do like to be near you."
"I know, I know. I can't seem to get away from them. Oh well, they re such good friends that I don't want to hurt their feelings. Such is life for a very popular cat like me....."
